So a bit of genuine competition and a sneaky £10 on Seb V at 4 to 1 made it worth getting up!

4/1, wow, that's good odds!

I went back to bed after Lewis's race got ruined stuck behind Max, knew there would be nothing else exciting after that.

Cars look great but can't see this season being much better in terms of racing. Should be closer in terms of manufacturers though.

can see why and I watched highlights.

Going to be very boring when a faster car cannot overtake a car that's so much slower. It was even less racing and more strategy :(

That's Australia for you (but not China I hope)

I used to enjoy the f1 I'll admit I still can't bring myself to not watch it but I have also taken to watching world rally cross. Worth a watch if your looking for something interesting

Don't open a thread entitled 'F1' immediately after the race :d

must admit I recorded and watched it first thing. Not the most existing race, the cars do look better and travel faster and it's good to see them getting faster as the fuel drops. Generally I do like Hamilton but some of his comments on track sounded like they were from last years race, complaining about tyres.

I also recorded the Moto GP, and thankfully started to watch early as it was delayed for quite a bit. Generally the racing is better, though I guess that is partly due to the much narrow vehicle. I'll try and keep up with both.

I have tickets for the British GP this year (or I shall have when they arrive!), and I hope that there's a bit more wheel to wheel at Silverstone than at Albert Park. The support races are often more engaging than the main event in my limited experience. It's good to see some competition for MB this year but does it have to be 'The Finger'? I felt sorry for poor old Ricciardo.

I can't say I felt any need or interest in watching it, (from someone who even used to watch the televised timed practices where possible, and wouldn't miss a race), but I did happen to catch most of a repeat from 2014 of a program on Senna on Sky F1; wow, the clips from the eighties and even early nineties soon reminded me why I was so addicted to the race season! Even reliving the iconic Senna/Mansell wheel to wheel braking episode that i still remember watching live.

Watched the GP and expected Ferrari to be strong in Oz as they have been in the past.

Will we ever again see racing such as

what's amazing is the gaggle of people on the start finish line. Rene could not really have gone for a last ditch over take for fear of taking them out.
