Strange Things They Say On TV

I thought I had misheard the first time, but on the Top 40 loop on MTV, for the second time today, I've listened to some faceless female announcer asking "has Katy Perry got the right rythm to beat Ed Sheeran off"!

Just wondered if there were any other examples?

1976-- cricket commentator Brian Johnston had the habit of announcing who was bowling and who was the batsman.

All went well until West Indies' Michael Holding was bowling to England's Peter Willey which resulted in "the bowler's Holding the batsman's Willey"

Much mirth.
