I found after 20 years other brands had caught up and Linns prices unjustifiable, but the arm was still good and helped fund replacement purchase significantly. Despite my deck being German, I'm all for British 'nonsense' & the rest of my Hi-Fi components are British. Linn's record deck prices these days seem like they're not far off what it cost to manufacture bits on an almost individual basis! I remember selling their entry level tone arm, the Akito, for around £180 or so in the nineties. Last time I looked it cost more than my Ekos mk II did! Quote
SootySport Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 The Linn LP12 prices scare me now. I think Regas offerings are far more realistically priced, and sound good enough for me. Quote

pistonbroke Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Have boxes full of classic jazz & pop stowed in the loft , chucked my de luxe Garrard turntable in the skip about 5 years ago , big mistake seeing the price of a decent new one . Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted February 28, 2017 Author Posted February 28, 2017 It's no good having Vinyl without a deck........ So, I'll be happy to take Vinyl off your hands Quote
