Sorry for the bad pun

On the zetec my alternator sits on the left hand side (standing in front of it), and the starter on the right hand side.  How do you guys connect these two up?  Alternator<->starter<->battery?  or Alternator<->battery<->starter?

Mine is aternator to battery.  It's not a big fat cable.   Mine is a denso, daihatzu one.. about 40 amp.. 7mm2 seamed enough to me.

Normal Westfield wiring is alternator to starter, then starter to battery.

All my large live cables join at the solenoid.

I've done either way no problem. Current is alternator to battery thick brown cable. Battery to starter chonker thick cable.
