Just thought I'd say hi.

Quite a while ago (must be about 13 years ago) I owned a Westfield fitted with a Lotus 1558cc Twin Cam and loved it, fortunately life and divorce forced me to sell and now I'm firmly in mid life crisis territory I have decided its time to re-ignite the flame.

Have a budget of 12k for what I hope can be a decent car, going to look for condition and history rather than specific engine or colour specs and I'm off to Toybox tomorrow to see what is available.

Whatever I buy will be seriously pampered and will share garage space with my M135i and Mercedes CL, the three of them will give me all the driving options I think a person can need / want

Living in Shropshire gives me access to some fantastic and undiscovered roads and of course, its a short drive over the border to Welsh Wales and all it has to offer

Looking forward to buying the right car and meeting some of you along the way

 from Essex Band of Brothers.   I reckon quite a few of us can empathise with your trials and tribulations over the years.   Good luck finding a nice car, your budget Will buy a good 'un.   By tradition at this time of the year, a few will pop up in our own  Classified forum and will be better than from a dealer value wise.

Welcome to the madhouse. Do some homework before you go shopping. You will pay top dollar for dealers. In the next month or so, private just as good cars will appear at more cost sensible prices too. And those can be a labour of love and meet the current owner and vet how they come across .

Had an insightful visit to Toybox this morning.  Nothing in stock currently that takes my fancy but decided I'm going to have to be prepared to wait for the right car to come along.  Definitely ruled out anything with a CVH but have not ruled out a V8.  You can never have too much power but you can definitely have too little
