Andrew Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I didn't watch the TV awards show last night, but I saw a quick run down of who won what this morning. I can honestly say I don't watch any of the winning programmes they mentioned. Ant and bl**** Dec! .. I don't think I've ever watched anything they've done! Does anyone else share my views, or I am just yer average grumpy old 60+ having a rant. 1 Quote

Andrew Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Just looked at a list of the winners.. Factual entertainment winner is ...... Gogglebox!!! Watching people watching TV?????? Quote
Steve (sdh2903) Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I'm with you. I don't watch any of the programmes on the winners list. In fact set me thinking how much terrestial TV do I actually watch? Top gear. The James may programmes. On the bbc. 24 hours in A&E and the guy Martin stuff on c4. That's it. Terrestial TV is such poor quality tat with endless "celebrity" this and that and bl**** "talent" shows. Most of my viewing is now on discovery, Nat Geo or The history channel. Either that or live sport. Quote
jeff oakley Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I don't like Mrs Browns boys but the guy who is the star donates huge amounts of his own money to charities. Unlike others who ask us to do so Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Yes, "Mrs Brown's Boys", 'tis a 'Marmite' show! Quote
Rory's Dad Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Sdh - there's some quite good stuff on BBC4 (now and again) but otherwise I agree with you. Quote

Kevin (Mr T) Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Ant and Dec!!! I have such a loathing of them, I even blamed on them on another post for being a waste of TV licence money, only to be told by our Chairman that they aren't on the BBC. How would I even know that! The three women in my house do watch any and all awards programmes (to see what people are wearing) and I caught the first presentation. The took the trophy ahead of Graham Norton (intelligent and funny) and Keith Lemon (clever, rude and funny). By then, I had seen enough....... Quote
Northwarks Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Mrs Browns Boys - was funny the first time I watched it, 2 or 3 episodes in I just got fed up of the predictability - just saying Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Gogglebox is utter sh1te IMO Quote
Andrew Posted January 27, 2017 Author Posted January 27, 2017 Ant and Dec received their OBE's today. Quote
iain m Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 I think being a grumpy old git was brought on by the start of " the weakest link " and the beginning of saturation level " HUMILIATION " TV. I avoid all such rubbish and the like of ant and dec that present these dreadful programmes. The news last night mentioned these two may loose their 26 year run of " the most annoying duo " award but not surprised no one came close. The only threat was from Jedwood and they apparently missed the ferry. Quote
