benlindley Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 HISearching high and low on here and via the likes of soft bits but i cant seem to find a Shower cap / waterproof tonneau that covers an MSA roll bar car. Softbits only do for standard and state it won't stretch. Just need something for when I'm caught out rain wise / in the pub / visiting friends that can be quickly put on and taken off but protects the digidash, seats, carpets etc Any worldly wise much appreciatedBenL Quote

Onliest Smeg David Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Have a look at the walker st Clair Covers, I think they still advertise in the club magazine perfect.... with MSA roll bar & screen, easier fit with aeroscreen would have thought! Quote
benlindley Posted November 24, 2016 Author Posted November 24, 2016 perfect.... with MSA roll bar & screen, easier fit with aeroscreen would have thought! brilliant - i have windscreen too. Any mods needed to the car? How is it fitted /secured? Will have a google! Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 As in photo (yellow)... White label used as tab to hold front down to wiper spindles. Rear of cap right under rear Use paracord under centre of Westie to tabs on cap (although ideally a set of tabs further forward would work better) This way the Walker St Claire cover has stayed on in some very severe weather at Anglesey Circuit! 1 Quote
CraigHew Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 FIts really well, I made up a bunji cord with 2 hooks to go under the car and add more stability 1 Quote
Rory's Dad Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 ...and I have a couple of suction hooks stuck onto the sides of the car for the same reason. 1 Quote
benlindley Posted November 24, 2016 Author Posted November 24, 2016 ordered today, will be with me Saturday - great service Quote
tisme Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 I made two short bunji loops with aluminium "hooks" that clip under the bottom of each wheel arch (where they join the tub at the bottom) - saves me having to grovel with shock cord underneath the car - especially if the ground is already wet after yet another shower Great bit of kit Quote
B.RAD Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 I got one from halfords. It's a small car cover and cost £20. Had it a couple of years and it's brilliant! Quote
