X361782 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Can anyone recommend a good place to get my front and rear geo set up for the first time near edinburgh or East Lothian. The engine is in and I would like to get it set before I start the body work. Cheers Quote
DamperMan Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 It's best to do it with the car finished so the weights correct and it's sitting at the correct ride height etc. Save your pennies for now. Sorry can't advise who can set up but I'm sure some one will be along soon to give a recommendation. Quote
Rory's Dad Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 The factory manual gives you a decent starting point. You have to mess about with the front to get it to demonstrate some self centering at SVA even though it has no castor adjustment! Have it done properly once you are on the road. Quote
S2T Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Scottish Kit Car centre cannot be too far away from you....but I have no idea the quality of their work..... Scottish Kitcar CentreUnit J1Gilmerton Estate ATHELSTANEFORDEast LothianEH39 5LQ Quote
Thrustyjust Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 I set mine up with string and axle stands and a digital level. I used the factory figures but dialed in a little toe in on the front to help self steer for IVA . I will use this for a few miles, as seems pretty stable and doesnt do anything untoward. This will let the suspension supple up and sag and then I will get a pro job done in the spring. By getting it done now, will change a little when bedding it in and would need doing again soon after.
