Introduction and Birmingham tuning specialist

Hi there all

Just introducing myself and asking for some help. I've just got a second hand Westfield to have some fun in ( my first kit car) and am enjoying tinkering in the garage over the winter...

The previous owner had some engine work done and changed the carbs, etc and I was wondering if anyone knows a good tuning specialist in the Birmingham area who can set it up properly?

The WSCC forum is great by the way and has been a big help already. Im looking forward to the spring!!

I think that is Aldon Automotive. I haven't used them personally, but they are a long established firm, and I suspect that they are particularly good with older engines running carbs and distributors.

BTW Aldon Automotive are local and will be able to help you ok!

Welcome!

Never used them myself, but it's true, Aldon Automotive have had a great reputation for years. A little further afield, there's also Northampton Motorsport, who have a huge reputation and are also a club sponsor!!

Huge price too!

Once your engine is sorted, get procomp to do your geo - properly set up suspension will make a huge difference to the driving pleasure

Late to the party, but yeah Aldon are a pretty good bet and my car has been to them, they may try to sell you extras though.

They know what they're doing, unlike others locally who only seem to know how to thrash a car on the RR.
