pistonbroke Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 I remember reading that the m62 past Leeds was getting people doing over 70. Essentially if the sign was showing a national speed limit white circle with a line through the cameras were live at 70 if the sign was blank, so off, then the cameras were also off. I agree with the lorries also. Today in the m6 roadworks, average 50 cameras, there was a truck going crazy. Obviously 55ish he would flash lights and tail gate or undertake anything going at 50. My cruise was set at 55 ish and he left me standing Problem could be , whose speedo reads exactly 50 mph , doubt there are 2 speedos that read the same ( that includes police calibrated jobs ) speedo reading is affected by both tyre wear and tyre pressure. I find it vey frustrating having to follow some one doing 5 mph below the limit if I have be somewhere for an appointment , lots HGV's have time schedules to make for delivery . Most speedos read about 10% less than the true speed , which would explain why the HGV wants to be doing 55 mph Quote

dombanks Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Three was no way in the world that guy gave a crap about the 50mph limit or other peoples safety driving the was he was in the roadworks. I can only hope that he gets a ticket and delayed somewhere enough that he misses his time slot. Quote
