Alps Roadtrip - Help me plan

Recommended Posts

Posted

Planning on a Euro road trip next year (not in westy)

At the moment we are chunnel to Reims

next day to Speyer museum near Hockenheim then to Baded Baden in Germany

The next day route 500 through black forest down to the swiss border

Beyond that I am not sure - anyone got any thoughts on best passes, things to do in Switzerland/Austria

Probably only get 2-3 days so too much travelling will be a factor

Your thoughts?

Thank you

If Switzerland it has to be the area around Davos and Ideally Stelvio on the border also.

I have the satnav files for an organised trip that I did a few years ago that went through the black forest area and then to the alps

If looking for a group I would be up for this also.

There is an interesting Rolls Royce museum in Austria just over from the German border

Grossglockner and nochalmstrasse in Austria are well worth a look.

My mate has done several alps trips can get satnav routes for you for Stelvio and more.

If you get anywhere near Stuttgart the Merc and Porsche museums are great.

yes my Dad has been to both - unfortunately I think we only have time for one in Germany which will most likely be Speyer - or perhaps Sinsheim (excuse spelling)
