MIKEASHTON Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 I'm upgrading at the end of the year, or sooner perhaps, and I'm looking to sell my Crossflow. The spec is :- 1740cc M711 block Treated crank and rods Lightweight BMW pistons (hence extra 40cc) 254 / 244 hybrid cam Stage 3+ head with big valves Twin weber 40's High Pressure / High Capicity oil pump Electronic distributor Baffled Low Line Sump Lightened and balanced rods / pistons / crank / flywheel Chambalin Exhaust Manifold 4-1 Altenator / Starter Cosworth Rod Bolts This engine was only built last year and produced a 137hp @ 6800 / 125lbft @ 4000 (torque curve very flat) on an engine dyno and a graph can be supplied. Its only covered 2000 miles since this build on some hillclimbs and sprints and two trackdays. This engine has helped me achieve 3 class wins in the speed series so far this year, and will be available at the end of the year. However, should a buyer be keen to get hold of it, I can discuss arrangements. I'm looking for about £950 and that would come as a complete turn key package. Please either call me on 07775 996100 or e-mail me at mike@maphotographics.co.uk
Rob Navin Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 Some one please buy this now so he can't take any more class wins. I have driven the car and can testify that it is a great engine. Just a shame the cars not cream any more. Rob
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 Hang on a minute 1740cc But you enter events in the upto 1700cc classes. Are you cheating? JL
Mark Stanton Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 But you enter events in the upto 1700cc classes WSCC Speed Series is up to 1800 So it would only be cheating if it was used in the wrong event class
