thegunplumber Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 thanks guys I was told when one wheel lifts it will spin the power away rather than locking up like a plate LSD is this true.i understand they are good but possibly not so good for hill sprinting where tight corners cause the wheel to lift.any thoughts or exsperiances would be greatfully recieved
pete g Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 i run quaife units no problem . no maintenance and no planet gears to break. plated diff if set up correctly is better . but dont discount the quaife unit ..after all new 4.1 crown wheel and pinion will set you back £680 and quaife unit about £750 . but you will need quaife output shafts to use . or get yours modified. you can always sell the quaife unit on. and swap with plated unit.if you dont like .
thegunplumber Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 thanks pete think ill bite the bullet and give bara a call for a new one.i see you are doing curbourgh so will see you there.
