westy Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 I might be selling my Tran-x 4.44 plate diff along with a quaife 4 speed dog box (2.20, 1.690, 1.340, 1:1) within a couple of months. Gearbox had a complete new gearset a few hundred miles ago and has an alloy main case. If your interested in the two drop me a mail at: gearbox@techsl.com along with an offer..... Ta, Westy.
Blatman Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 If it's an Escort diff, count me as interested. If it's a Sierra diff (I can't remember what Guy used to run), then count me out.....
Arm Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 If it is the Escort diff then I'll give 50 p more than Blatman. I'm also interested in the box! Ash
furtive Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 If it's an escort diff, I'll give 55p and a conker more than those two
Turbo Tommo Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 I'm very interested in both. Needs to be a sierra diff. Don't sell anything to Ash, he's got enough of an advantage already.
ACW Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 I would be interested in both items if you let me know the kind of money you need for them. In addition if you want I can remove and replace said items with the replacements for you at the same time.... Now if I had a H pattern Dog box I could go play in Class D.....
Arm Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 I'll employ naked girls to remove box and diff, gotta be better than Wotbox in his GGR overalls. Ash
westy Posted May 30, 2003 Author Posted May 30, 2003 right, thanks for the numerous emails/PM's. As I said if I come to sell one or all of the items I will let people know. Due to overwhelming interest it will probably be via ebay. Arm, I would have to see a demo of the naked women removing the box and diff. Im sure theres a gearstick joke in there somewhere... Westy.
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 May we ask why you want to sell these items. If they are from Guy's old car, surely there cant be any better options that the current ones. The car was a winner nearly every time out proving it was all specced nice and correctly Just curious John
Mark Stanton Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 I tend to agree with Big John - At the risk of getting a slap from Mr Mason and Mr Wotbox et al - Why on earth would you want to change any spec that Guy had on his car The car had been developed from a lot of track time and Guy had it all well sorted - Unless its broke don't try and "fix it" - Just get out there maintain it and go for it. You can tell how well it was set by the amount of folks wanting the bits from ya Just ask yourself why you bought the car Cos it was awesome and a large part of that is the diff and box Enjoy
SteveD Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 errrrrrrrm shoot me down if i am wrong but the last time i saw the car it had an alloy cased g/box
ACW Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Mark, Ive already spent ages trying to persuade him off line not to sell it to me.... but hey ho...
