Advice on WIFI Wireless range extender required.

I downgraded my internet to Plusnet unlimited and the speeds are between 17Mbps and 20Mbps.

The router is  Plusnet hub One.

My smart TV is not picking up this router but it does if I plug in a cable between the TV and router.

I don't want a cable running across my hall floor so thought about plugging a wifi extender into the socket next to the TV and just leaving a cable in.

In Currys there were these that are shown in the pictures but all had different specifications and prices.

Which would be best for just plugging the TV into.

Will the 15.00 one be ok or do I need one of the other ones.

Any advice would be great.

My son uses a similar BT branded one from the hall up to his bedroom for his gaming Pc and it works fine connected through the 240v plug sockets in the house then through a cable to his Pc. I only paid about £15 for it, the limiting factor is our rubbish connection to the house hth

I've used tp link av500 power line products to good effect, I've got a few of them. Got them from Amazon

Thanks Men.

I am looking at the AV500 that Rhett suggested and that might be the way forward.

TP Links are the ones I use when I have no structured cabling and no chance to install any. I've got about 30-ish "out there" on several customer sites. They haven't given me a single moment of trouble. You can get them with built in wifi access points along with an ethernet port or two and if you need more ports you can always hang a small switch off the TPLink.

For TV's, PS3/4's/X-Boxes etc, DVD players and just about anything that may stream content of any type, get it off the wifi if all all possible, even the new 802.11AC wifi which most new routers will be delivered with.

^^ TP Link from Amazon.  Good value and works well.  Simples to set up, too.

Thanks men.

I will get the TP one.

Thanks for all your help and advice.
