I have just started a Facebook page for the North Yorkshire Area.

It has only been open a couple of days at the moment but here is a link.

MODERATORS.

Could someone kindly attach a link in my signature please as I am unsure how to do it.

Thanks.

Nicely done, hope it drums up some support!

Thanks Kevin.

So far I only know 3 local people to me who have joined.

I have sent out details to all the others around me so hoping it proves worthwhile as I know that not everyone comes on here.

Moderators.

I have found how to change my signature but it says I can only have two lines.

I do only have two lines and the signature is no deeper than the one I have now.

Any advice please.

This is what I am trying to change too and you can see its still only two lines.

Screen%20Shot%202016-09-15%20at%2016.34.

I then get this message.

Screen%20Shot%202016-09-15%20at%2016.34.

I have also removed all my name and logo to see what happens and it still will not accept the signature.

Sorted!

I'd maybe make the FB group Private - unless you want everyone on the web knowing where you are out and about etc?

I've purposely left our group open so it gives people a feel of what the group is about and if it suits them, they'll join.

Thanks for that Chris.

thats a great help as I was struggling and been trying to change it for a couple of hours.

I have also left the group open for the same reason as Quinten.

No Problem Geoffrey - your group, your call :)

And a Chris has just discovered a weird anomaly with the font colour when doing signatures! It appears to be set to black, but comes out light grey!

Hang on a mo!

Actually - that was how Goeffrey had it (at the point in time I edited it) so left it like that - hadn't realised it was a "quirk" :)

Have "harmonised" it to the AO standard footer.

It's one of those funny things when copying and pasting stuff into signatures, it looses the colour and often size info; it tends to come out in that light grey and with a random (unassigned) font size.

As a web developer, I have created many Content Management Systems for my client's websites - cut & paste, particularly from (spit) Micro$oft Word (shudder) is the bane of my life.

I have to add code in that strips out all the crap MS adds in - it's a reeeet pain.
