Onliest Smeg David
This Jowett was outside MOT garage being worked on... ...certainly not the best example. It's a shame so much was so 'wrong'! Sure you knowledgeable lot will spot them? But at least it's being kept going on the road
Man On The Clapham Omnibus
Apart from the later style push-button on the floor nothing strikes me as 'wrong' in the sense of being out of period. There's a lot of restoration work needed though.

There's a lot of restoration work needed though. The push button is part of a modern lighting system being installed.Unfortunately it's not being restored. But there is another major wrong! Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
Is it the running boards and that box thing.
Onliest Smeg David
Nice try, but Jowett had that running board and box. (Just Google imaged to check)
DavidR
Is it the SU carb?
Onliest Smeg David
Is it the SU carb?On a modern (relative to car) Reliant engine. You can also see pipe to radiator only goes half height due to moder radiator fitment which is half size of original. Apparently it can go 60mph now! I wouldn't want to be in it doing that.
Onliest Smeg David
An additional brake has been fitted, originally only having hand brake. A bike disk bolted inbetween gearbox drive shaft and prop!!!!!
Man On The Clapham Omnibus
I spotted the SU carburettor and didn't put two and two together regarding Mr Skinner's invention. Exactly when the leather bellows were replaced by a piston arrangement didn't enter my head! The top hose certainly is a giveaway but I didn't spot that either... Onliest Smeg David
I spotted radiator then it was when I saw the word 'Reliant' on the head that I knew it wasn't original. But I deliberately didn't post a photo of that
