Captain Colonial Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Let me start by saying I don't, and never have listened to The Archers on Radio 4, nor will I ever listen - not interested, personally. However, one of my clients managed to comprehensively ruin it for me forever today. (Read on at your own peril.) I met him at his offices this afternoon, and he hates The Archers with a passion, mainly because his secretary plays it on her radio every day. He's utterly sick of it. I had just arrived when it was about to come on the radio. He proudly told me that because he despised The Archers so much, over the years of being forced to listen to it, he'd come up with lyrics for the theme tune, which he sang robustly just to irritate his secretary. Now, we all know the tune... Rum dee dum dee dum dee dum, rum dee dum dee dum dum... Etc, etc. So when the theme from The Archers started, he joined in with a hearty below... "Everyone's a Nazi now Everyone's a Nazi..." (Try it yourself. You will never hear the tune the same way again.) Needless to say, his secretary accused his parents of being unmarried, and I've had that ear worm stuck in my head all day. And dreadful as it is, now it's in your head too - sorry. I find myself actually walking to the tune playing in my head and singing the lyrics to myself. Every time I hear it in future, that's what I'll think about. Quote

Blatman Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Star Trekkin is one of my favourite comedy songs, right up there with National Express by The Divine Comedy and Baz Lurmans Sunscreen. "Everones a nazi now Everon'es a nazi..." Batsrad Quote
