Bigglesss
Hi guys! Well I come from a 600hp evolution 8 so I am used to raw! I do love my old skool. Hoping to pull 180 + from this x flow. Might just throw in a timing ecu to compliment the webbers and dial out the flats. There are a few _ dynos to proove! Mapped my own previous Evo from 260 to 400 without help! X flow is locked to a cortina 2l four speed, escort prop n diff. This does not exclude a possible supercharge!' Personally, I'm up for fun

Bigglesss
Thanks everyone! I'm already shopping for new shiny bits. Rear view mirror. Side mirror. Led tails. Stripping the dash shortly to Mould and replicate in 2x2 carbon. Next up is the gel coat cracked bonnet. I have a project. When winter comes, this will be engine work. I do have a starter issue though. After a run, she behaves like a flat battery, yet after four tries, turns over fine. In addition, today a fail to start and total power loss. Remedied with all fuses in and out. So I suspect a main power relay or starter relay. The fun begins.

Bigglesss
Had a quick one over on battery and interconnects Gary Everything seems tight and clean (no corrosion) I suspect a faulty component. I had no power to anything until I recycled the fuses. Then boom. Normal. Fairly sure this is a moody relay.

Thrustyjust
Welcome to the club Biggles. 180 plus is doable from a crossflow, but in normal aspiration with be a dog to drive . As for forced, they are few and far between and people use different engines to achieve that BHP, as cheaper and easier. But dont let that put you off trying !! You cant beat a crossflow at full chat. See below for an 1800 cc AX all steel with a 254 cam.
