CANCELLED. Coast to Coast, West, Saturday 3rd Sept.

The West leg of the Coast to Coast run will take place on Saturday 3rd September.

Starting at the Fox and Grapes at 10:30 we will head into Harrogate then towards Skipton and on to the Lakes and then either to Morecambe or Grange over Sands, find a pub and head home.

Anyone interested? Let me know, and I'll plan a proper route.

A683, - Mershaw, Sykes, Dunsop Bridge,

B6478, - Slaidburn,

Tosside, Wigglesworth, Long Preston,

A65, - Gargrave,

A629, - Keighley,

A650,

A657, - Green Gates,

A6120 - Leeds outer Ring Road,

A64, - York Road - Fox and Grapes.

 

This is 5 hours, not including stops and 160 miles.

Anyone are welcome to join or leave anywhere on the route.

Just watched the weather forecast and it looks like it's going to be bad, so I've decided to cancel the run, it's no fun in the rain. I will reschedule for a better day in the next couple of weeks.

Looks like I made the right decision to cancel the run today.

I went to the Fox and Grapes just to make sure no one turned up, I had tried to contact everyone but you never know who might turn up unexpected. No one did so my plans worked out. It started to rain at 10:30, just as we would have been setting off and only just stopped at 6:30 here in Leeds.

I will rearrange the run for a couple of weeks time, hopefully with better weather.
