Have you used the same sort of stuff they use for wrapping cars? What sort of thickness are the stripes, i.e. Do they have a pronounced "edge"?

Hi Dave, yes it the same stuff for wrapping cars the red is a red carbon effect, the silver is the same as this link

thickness is 160 micron it does leave a raised edge but very little

I bottled out of wrapping the nose so it was painted laqured and then striped. After applying the stripes I went over the edges with a heat gun to seal down. Went over a 1000 miles and no problems so I am more than happy with it
