Went on this at the weekend.

Wow, the Ratty...!

 

Brings back great dim and distant memories, we've camped many a time as Eskdale, not too far from the end of line station at the end of your video (with the turntable).

Those carriages haven't changed one bit.

Glad you liked it.

 

Carol booked a carriage with a verandah and it also had a bottle of champagne and strawberries inside.

 

 

Did you go to Ravenglass.

 

We nearly got cut off by the tide. We had about 6 inches of dry land spare and only just made it back.

Hi Geoff,

yes we had a good while on the beach too although as beaches go I don't recall it being the prettiest..  Once stayed at a hotel in Ravenglass, probably about 30 years ago so it may not be in business anymore.

 

Lovely part of the country.
