Terry Everall Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Can anyone recommend decent sites around Beadnell/Bamburgh/Craster close to the beach etc Quote
Paul Morcom Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Hi Terry, Been there once in the M/H and is fantastic - stunning countryside, very friendly people and plenty to do..... We stayed at the following places: Proctor's Stead, nr Craster - probably the closest site to the village. Short walk. Didn't see much of the site but was clean as is rained when there - short break in the weather and we headed to the village. Pub opposite the smokery is a gem. Budle Farm, Budle nr Bamburgh. Small site on farm (4 pitches with hook up). No facilities other than hook up but friendly farmer and a very short walk to an incredible beach and nature reserve with views of Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle. Old Mill Caravan site, West Kyloe. Great location on a farm with clean but not many facilities. Has Hook up etc. Excellent location to get over to Holy Island from. A bit in the middle of nowhere. Quote
Kingster Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Warren Mill near budle bay is a decent site. Only camped there but looked like they were well set up for caravans and motor homes too. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g504035-d1173599-Reviews-Meadowheads_Waren_Caravan_Park-Bamburgh_Northumberland_England.html The Northumberland coast is fabulous area with lovely beaches. For good food try http://joiners-arms.com or http://www.warenhousehotel.co.uk Quote
Labrat Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Dustan Hill Camping and Caravanning Club site is nice, and its really close to Embleton which has the best beach in Northumberland IMHO, with a cracking pub (The Ship Inn) at Low Newton. Good walking down to Howick where there is a great arboretum, and usually a good chance to see the RAF/NATO flyboys practicing dogfights. Luke. Quote
