tkm_dave
After two diffs I bought have ended up unusable in the short term, has anyone got a Sierra 7" 3.6, 3.3 or 3.1 LSD I could beg, borrow or rent? Can collect or arrange UPS to collect, need it for Friday this week though
mark.anson
If you find a 3.1 buy a lottery ticket while your at it. ! Hens teeth.
phelpsa
There was a 3.62 on locostbuilders recently Dave. Edit: it was a 7.5" 3.64. Ignore me!
Paul Morcom
Hi Dave. I have a 7" 3.62 diff that I could sell. It's as new and has a quaife atb. Did about half a season and then went into my spares store as I changed to a 4.1. It's the pushy in drive shafts version. It's not cheap and would have collect from Cirencester area on Wednesday or Thursday evening. Or during the day on Thursday or Friday from near Wallingford. tkm_dave
Cheers for the offer Paul, I have a Quaife unit and modified some Lobros to suit so I'm hoping to get that built, but after buying two duff 3.6 donors it's now looking tricky to get it sorted in time for the weekend. I'd like not to be at a disadvantage at Aintree but couldn't stretch to buying a high spec diff outright unfortunately. Shouldn't be a problem to find someone who'll take it off your hands though
B.RAD
Have you tried Mark at bearingkits.co.uk? He quite often has a good stock
tkm_dave
Cheers Barny. I don't have the funds to buy one outright, I've already got the components to build one, just not the time so looking for a temporary sticking plaster.
B.RAD
Are the crown wheel and pinion replaceable on the Sierra diff? He had a 4.1 English cronwheel and pinion that I bought for £150, so if they're replaceable he may have the bits!
Kevin Jones
I have a 3.3 7.5" LSD that you could borrow, if you can get a courier to my work it might be possible to ship or I will be at Aintree as well (but not driving) so could also just bring along if you don't find a 7". tkm_dave
They are replaceable but Sierra crownwheel and pinion are generally about 2-3 times the price of English internals for ratios other than 3.6 or 3.9.
tkm_dave
Thanks for the offer Kev, will keep it in mind, very kind of you. Currently got a 3.38 loan LSD pencilled in to arrive on Thursday courtesy of another very lovely member!!
