Half hood recommends please.

Hi folks, can anyone recommend a half hood website or maker. I have the standard west field 50mm roll bar on an 1999 SEiW.

Also does anyone know where I can get the roof repaired. There is a six inch tear along a seem by the wind screen press stud.

Thanks

Ali

Soft Bits for Sevens is the company name, AFAIK, they're the only company other than Westfield, that have patterns for, and advertise the supply of, half hoods.

There are various trimmers, and hood specialists dotted around that have done one off's for club members, but, WSC and SBfS are the only two that really advertise them.

With the standard roll bar do you have enough headroom for a half hood?

The Soft Bits for Sevens half hood is fine with the standard roll bar though some additional roof supports are a help. FYI I am 6'1" and have the standard roll bar, standard seats and standard flat floor.

I took my mouse eaten hood to a local (to me) boat trimmers who patched the hole, cut the back off and attached some straps to turn it into a half good - cost me £40 :)

Interesting. I took my car to the Westfield factory 18 months ago so they could try to figure a higher support for the half hood with standard bar. They failed. I have also put a piece of 2x2 across and my head is higher. I'm 6'0". Must have another look

I have had repairs done at Timpsons in the high street.

They normally mend shoes etc.
