Kingster
Just found out that the wife is away that weekend. Unfortunately that's not a good thing as it means I'm left with the dog. While I don't mind leaving him for a few hours, the wife would not be pleased if I was out all day with him locked up indoors. So will be a bit time limited and thus could be a quick blat to Alston and back for me.

Olliebeak
Had a run up to Alston yesterday, had to take refuge in the Hartside Cafe during a horrendous rainstorm at least it was a good test for my newly fitted wipers, problem is there was more water on the inside of the screen than the outside, it was that cold I had to get the wooly hat and gloves out. The alternator decided to seize on the way back along the A69, with a loud screeching noise and blue smoke out the back and bits of flaming fan belt. Luckily it happened near the Throckley turn off and I know a garage near there, left it overnight and fitted a new alternator today, back on the road, the mighty crossflow lives again!. May meet up at Alston depending on the weather, nice roads when the sun is shining.
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
Hi Ollie. Bit of an adventure. On our run up, glorious sunshine will reign supreme. You will only need shorts and factor 50. It will be good if you can join us.

Kingster
The plan for us is to head to Alston and then, time permitting run to kielder and back to the Toon. I know Gary and Ziplob are coming.
