The chap who got me into Westfield's and a previous club member David Bone passed away this week

His first Westfield was quite famous as it was bought by coronation streets "Steve McDonald"

His second car was purpose built race car using the latest SBD Vauxhall componentry. He campaigned this successfully for many years in Darlington Motor Clubs Northern Saloon and Sports Car Championship

The Funeral is at Durham Crem on Tuesday 27th 11:00 . Unfortunately im on Holiday!

His Family have agreed it would be fitting to have a Westfield send off

So the big ask. Can any of you make it in your Westfield's please?

Sad news Mark. I didn't know Dave very well, but had seen him about in the NSSCC paddocks over the years. My condonleces to his family.

Sorry can't help with the Westy as mine is far from road worthy.

I replied on the Facebook post, Im sure I could come along to join is a parade. We did it last year for a young disabled lad who died and the turn out was unbelievable with all kinds of motors turning up.

 

The way it worked was we met at a location near the house and then followed the cortège to the church (crem in this case)
