Any local road knowledge for the best route in? I will be driving in from Cotswolds , mapping is putting me M40 then straight onto A40 then right into London over Thames battersea etc , I am thinking of carrying on round M25 and coming up the old Brighton road?

Comming from Essex I've always used the A2, South Circular and A212 to get there,

Yes, round M25 to the M23 junction, turn left up Brighton Rd, past Purley and Croydon, get on to the A212 for the Palace is your best route.  Hope to come Sunday to see my Essex buddies.
