Clan McWesty: Reservoir Dogs Run - 5th June 2016

We decided to leave the Resevoir dogs run for another day when more are able to enjoy it. We still had a good day though. Some good autosolo action at Kames including 800 hp mk2 escort ( detuned to 575 for this event) and the compulsory coffee and bacon roll - well it would be rude not to.

After lunch we headed out on the local roads that Dave knows very well although we were both fairly sedate. having road trips planned in the next few weeks, we didn't want any issues. A loop around Mennock pass and surrounding roads still provided an entertaining day. Dave headed back south and I headed east, soon finding myself back at Kames (pee stop) before heading north towards Strathaven and then east again for Galston and home to Paisley.

All in all, not a bad day at all with some good roads, a bit of Motorsport and of course the big yellow circle in the blue sky.

Agreed - a good day had by all 2 of us! - great to make the most of this weather, and lets hope it lasts a bit longer and we havent used up our yearly Scottish allocation of sun yet.

The 500 BHP yellow escort was mental - purely there to have fun, and put on a show - brilliant...

Thanks for the run and company Bob, and good luck on your trip to France.

Here's waiting for Applecross.

Dave
