prop type 9 - gearbox mounting plate, extension type 9

My winter project - gearbox swap....so out with the Mitchell Cotts and in goes a catering van 6 speed

 

So looking for a few parts!

 

Type 9 propshaft

Mounting plate type 9 to chassis, bolt in type

Gearbox mounting isolator if new or excellent condition

 

Now the big ask... bell housing for long input shaft ... Duratec to type 9 ... as i have been told my Mitchell Cotts bell housing  is unlikely to work (suits a short input shaft)  .... unless anyone can tell me any different!

 

I'm heading to Stoneleigh Sunday 1 May, so could be a good work out?

I have a four bolt steel mounting plate if that's what you are looking for and a new heavy duty type 9 lower mount , I will be going to Stoneleigh on the Sunday too

I have just posted a Type 9 to english axle prop if thats any good. I also have a bellhousing which came of a 6 speed Caterham box so believe its the same a long input. I can bring on sunday if you want to have a look?

I think from memory that you are correct, Greenstreak, that the Raceline bellhousing is for the standard (short) input shaft.

TBH, i am not sure if i need the bell housing, as mine currently is, i believe a Racine one, which may fit ok. If you can bring with you so i can measure up?

 

Prop - sounds perfect, guess it mounts to a sierra diff ok? i will take it
