Peak District to Curborugh Sat 16th April

Meet at Curborugh some time between 8am and 11.30am for their breakfast meet. After a few hours tyre kicking and admiring all sorts of cars that attend we aim to set off at 11.30am.

We will travel through the Peak District, firstly on the big roads but moving onto the less well known roads, to cut across country to finish off for some nice lunch at Tittersworth Water, just north of Leek.

The cafe and car park overlook the water and it has The Roaches as it's breathtaking backdrop. With rain forecast all this week I am being a total optimist posting this on a Tuesday, but in OCLO's world it is sun shining all weekend.  :)

Anybody joining us?

Curborough as in Litchfield? For 8am? Are you quite quite mad! ;)

Visitors this weekend sorry.

Well, strictly speaking you can turn up anytime between 8am and 11.30am, but we are quite quite mad and will leave the alarm clock set at 6 am, as it is for a Friday morning......just in case your visitors fancy a day out......no?...I thought not  :)

The weather forecast for Saturday is grim, so if anyone wants to meet at Ashbourne on Sunday (nice forecast) instead and go to Tittersworth Water shout up here please.

It is dry and sunny here now so we might pop into Curborough anyway but we will be there tomorrow. Where and what time, usual?

The usual? yes, The Wheatsheaf at 10.30am Sunday it is then. A good excuse for another breakfast eh Mart! Oh, and yes, the sun has not actually stopped shining this morning in Chesterfield, ruddy weather forecasters.
