Selling my AX blocked, all steel, dry sumped 1700cc crossflow as a complete package with dry sump including pipes and tank, carbs, ignition, flywheel, clutch and Westfield exhaust manifold to make way for a 2.0 Zetec.
Originally a MASS National Hot Rod engine, MASS no. 8968, completely rebuilt by Craig Beck Racing over winter 2009/10 at a cost of £3368 and dynoed by DTW Engines showing 169 hp at 7750 rpm. Infrequent sprint and hillclimb use since in a roadgoing class Westfield, odometer suggests less than 250 miles since rebuild but can't guarantee that.
Full spec taken from Craig Beck spec sheet: AX block, Frandon steel crank and GAF steel con rods, Cosworth 83.5mm pistons, 747 gear driven camshaft, race spec cam followers and push rods, Cometic 3 layer steel head gasket, 11.4:1 compression ratio, full race spec head, roller rockers, twin Weber 48 DCOSP with 38mm chokes, DTA 3D ignition.
The engine is currently still in the Westfield which is taxed and insured so would be keen for prospective purchasers to come and see it running and satisfy themselves with the engine before removal. I'm near Chelmsford in Essex.
£6000 or very near offer.
Any questions tel 07885 874031 or derektennis@toucansurf.com for pics or spec etc.

Wow, what a spec of an engine. I can only dream as its 50% more than I paid for my car! Good luck with the sale.
