Hi Everyone,

My first post started with my adventure begins looking to buy a Westfield.

I've seen this one on Ebay  - eBay item number:

172146504034

Can anyone give me any advice please ?
Price
condition
SEIW   /   ZEIW?
Mileage

Also looking at this type of vehicle, what is the view of members of buying vehicles off Ebay?

Many Thanks
Richard

Thanks Thrustyjust, in your opinion would you spend a few more pounds i.e. £2000 looking for a better model?

Plans are for just a road going car. unfortunately being in Norfolk there are no AO's. However I am going to Stoneleigh in May. Thanks for the advice.

Snowy, depends on what you want out of a car. As it stands, its seems a pretty useable car. You could buy it and put 2k into it with making it more you, as you want a car. You will find the car pretty quiet with that induction and exhaust. You might want to chage it to a side silencer etc. Interior looks great and wouldn't change that, but that's the joy of a Westfield, its a personal thing unlike a Caterham, where there seems to be purists who don't like people changing anything.

Thanks for the advice on the exhaust, never knew that.

When I read your first reply, it was yer it looks ok, next post, pretty usable you might want to change a few things. LOL.

I am struggling though, just want to get driving, knowing really to wait and meet some owners at Stoneleigh and have a chat with them.

I was going for a caterham but price and things being standards Westfield was the way forward.

I just responded to your comment of spending an extra 2k on a car. So the comment of buying it and spending 2k on that one, making it more your car. If this is your first Westfield, then it is a basic and totally useable car for sale. Decent cars don't hang around for long as well. You could , of course just buy and run it and then maybe in the winter start the tinkering.

If we could meet up soon I'll help you decide (PM on it's way). This is a nightmare period for you but don't jump in too quick! Seeing jjem53's CSR would be good too.
