As above,

I have a full cage on my Westie and looking for a mount to attach to the cage.

What is everyone else using?

Have a look at Manfrotto clamps

You also need a tether (MSA requirement) if entering speed series.

I have not come across that before at scrutineering.. Is it a specific MSA rule?

What do the tethers attach to?

Terry. It came out in an msa circular last year. Everyone was checked for it at gurston and needed to remove camera or add tether

It does seem Some scrutineers are looking closer at it than others

 What I use....

With a small metal photo ball head.

It's very secure and versatile, with ball head giving much easier framing.

I've never been told I need a tether at sprints!

Scruts may use their judgement depending on how secure the mount appears.

I have seen them give mine a good looksee.

This looks handy!

Previously (mainly with GoPro on a ski) I've used short length of climbers cord. Strong but very flexible.

Always have a spare length with me at sprints for emergency use.

general view on uphill racers was that if a plastic mount (like the one linked to) you need a tether.  If a metal clamp then it should be ok without.

I made my own with some aluminium plate and 2 exhaust clamps, I found the plastic mounts too flexible and tended produce an unstable image.
