Temporary fitting of half doors

As some of may have seen in the "Tech" section I'm going to pick up an aeroscreened car on Saturday, hopefully by then I will be in receipt of a pair of half doors, it would be daft to not use them on the drive home.

 

Has anybody tried a temporary fix with say gaffa tape?  If so did it work ok?  I don't want them flying off.

If them sat well on the body, mos of the pressure you will have is from the outside trying to go to inside, so some lines of grafer tape should be more than fine for a couple of hundred of miles... Experience with mines, that are having a removable and very weak fixing system... and are still in place.
