If I have put a picture into a shared folder on Google photos and I get the following url (which a work colleague confirmed he can open, so it must be public)

 

 
How do I put that url into a post so the picture show in the post.
 
If I surround it with the [i mg] codes I get a "cannot use that image type"
 
If I post it as a link, you get a clickable link. Not what I wanted.
 
I started to use the cloud because I thought it meant I did not have to load pics into our forums own library so thought I was doing the right thing.
 
I have now confused myself - sorry...

did you see kingsters post john at the bottom of you other thread looks liek you have to click a little pictur button in the posting box about the text

The link you have given above is a URL to a web page, not a direct link to the image which is on that page.

To embed an image on the forum you will need to copy and paste the path to the image between the codes. Note an image will typically have a file extension ending in .jpg .tif .png etc etc if it is anything else then you probably arent posting the right link.
