WRC on channel 5

I must be a bit behind the curve and stumbled onto rallying on channel 5. I haven't seen rallying in prime time since the 80s. I've been off the scene for a few years so I'm catching up a bit.

Nice to see " my " sport on the telly.

I was a big rally fan in the 90s and 00s (bit too young to have enjoyed the Grp B days, but wow!) then it all seemed to go a bit stale - various manufacturers left and the TV coverage was none existent.

Is it worth seeking it out and having a watch?

over the last few seasons vw have been on form and seem to win most things. but citroen have chris meeke again this season he was a wild card last season and he did well so they signed him and tends to mix it up. its worth a watch if you can spare an hour

Grp B was awesome  just the crowd control was severely lacking. And the rallies were real test of man and machine .......Lombard RAC was an epic event 59 stages and covered the majority of the UK unlike the current event permanently camped in Wales. Nothing against Wales but come on what about the rest of the country, Kielder Forest, Castle O'er, Craik, Twiggles to name but a few.......Oh the good old days Roger Clark, Hannu Mikkola, Russell Brooks, Jimmy McRae, Ari Vatenan magic
