pistonbroke
Almost as bad as those new fangled headlights that blind everyone on the roads
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
I know someone that picked up one of the ones that look like an ordinary, though slightly bulky pointer. It cost in the region of £300 six or seven years ago and was stupidly powerful for the size. Would easily burn through dark coloured paper and even thin card. At night we could clearly see the "dot" it was painting on power station chimneys a couple of miles away. With binoculars we could see the dot it made on a building slightly over three miles away. Man On The Clapham Omnibus
Even with a modest red laser in some parts of London you can cause panic simply by landing a red dot on someone's chest at night - or so I'm led to believe... Not that I would condone such behaviour, obviously.
