Hi All

The Northamptonshire area monthly meets are held on the second Monday of every month at The Aviator Hotel Sywell NN6 0BN from 7.30 pm the next being Monday 8th February.

If you haven't been before come along for a beer and a chat about building cars, horsepower, engines etc (much better than TV on a Monday evening)

Hope to see you there.

Cheers

Richard Botterill

P.S

If you can't find us please call my mobile 07915983528 on arrival

It's actually quite an old role for Richard Geoffrey....he's just been flying under the radar and has tended to keep in contact with the Area via e-mail

Seeing as he's put up the post then I'll definitely have to go along..hope to catch a few more there too

Would be nice to meet you, it doesnt start until 7.30pm, so no rush  Weather is looking iffy at the moment, so may be in the tin-top too...

I may try and come along to my first meet. Like others I'll probably be in the tin top.

noggin... fancy a lift? im going to go tonight

Thanks for the offer but I'll take my tintop so I can learn the route with the satnav. Also it's a cracking drive down the 5199 if you get some free road!! Look forward to meeting up down there.

It was nice seeing new faces (for me at least!) at the meet

When I arrived, I didn't recognise anyone and therefore ordered a pint and sat down keeping an eye on the entrance whilst entertaining myself with the free Wifi on offer. It wasn't until Neil walked in and went to another table I discovered that Lewis and Paul were there already    We should get one of these  :ww:  things for the WSCC to make it easier for newbies to know who to approach when they've never met us ;)

It was a good evening. Agreed on finding people, hopefully going more often will help that out.

That was the idea behind sticking the AO's in distinctive bright blue shirts, with their name on the front!

It always provides a focal point for new (and new to meets) members to see and find in busy pubs/events. Plus the embroidered name means that if you're terrible with remembering names, (like me), you always have a "cheat" to remember at least one name!

...Obviously, I'm only too well aware, (with my own situation and hospital visits) it's not always possible for your AO to make every monthly meet; we do have some ready to print off (and ideally laminate) A4 signs/notices that you can, with permission of course, put up in the pub to point new members towards a reserved room or meeting area.

(I can email them to any area needing a copy).
