RichUK
It is time to sell my 2005 built, 2015 season Westfield SEIW race car. The car has been the subject of much development and money over the past 12 months as we prepped it for racing, and has wanted for nothing on the time that I have owned it.It was bought originally from Terry Everall on this forum, who had previously bought it from another forum member. I had the car for sale this time last year and then decided to try racing for 12 months, I'm now hooked and looking at being able to upgrade to an International C licence early this year. As a result we're racing a Porsche Boxster S in various endurance races in 2016.We raced the car in 2015 with Classic Sports Car Club in their Magnificent 7s series and Open Races. It fits into Group 2 for Mag 7s. This car would be equally at home in either 750mc Sports Specials, Northern Saloon & Sports car championship or CNC Heads Sports/Saloon championship to name a few.The car has been looked after by Solutions Racing in Brighthampton, Oxfordshire for all preparation and race support. They are available to talk about the car if needed. So, the details are as follows -Q plated 2005 with 2 litre Vauxhall XE red top with Coscast head.Rebuilt in May 2015 using SBD components for 235bhp - at a cost of £7,500 (parts & labour).Mapped to a conservative 210bhp at presentEngine has <six hours running since rebuildSBD parts used listed at bottom of advertDTA S40 ECUQED dry sumpSBD bellhousing and stainless steel exhaust manifoldSBD paddle clutchWunoff repackable silencerQuaife 5 speed straight cut type 9 pro box with long first gear and quickshift leverRemote oil filter, samco hoses, oil catch tankOil coolerBrise motorsport alternatorPlayskool full roll cage with FIA roll cage paddingFIA rain light (not presently fitted – fog light added back on for MoT) & rain light switchRadtec race radiatorRadtec 43l endurance fuel tankFuel pumpNew fuel filler neck & capFront and rear tow strapsRed top battery3.92 Sierra LSDSiltech oval tube widetrack and camber adjuster plus front arbSiltech rear arbWestfield Gaz shocksCAT motorsport solid grooved discs front and rear with Bremsport 4 pot calipers on frontPlayskool carbon aero screen and dashVDO gauges, including dial oil / water pressure gaugeSmall M&P headlamps2015 Westfield Cobra race seat (adjustable) for driverWestfield unpadded race seat for passenger, spare unpadded driver seat also includedSchroth Hybrid-II H (HANS compatible) six point harness for driverPlaySkool - five point harness for passengerBG Developments twin bias brakes with dash adjusterPush button starterMomo removable steering wheelCAT motorsport quick rack with alloy mountsPurple body with fixed arches and black cycle wingsExtended steering columnShortened gear leverNew FIA master switch & cut outPlumbed in fire extinguisherCompomotive CXR alloys 6x13 front and 8x13 rear shod with Avon ZZR tyres. These are this years main race tyres so have had five plus hours running, but will need replacing soon.Car is currently SORN and had a fresh MoT on 30th November after the race season finished. All it needs to be used on the road is number plates. The V5 is here and in my name. There is some cracking on the gel coat on the rear right hand side they are only superficial and we think caused by petrol being spilled when refuelling. There is a small piece of the gel coat missing from the driver’s rear wheel arch, likely caused by a stone from a gravel trap. This is a race / track car and not a garage queen. This is a very quick car, I'm not an expert on the Speed Series Regs, but a quick look shows that it would fit into several classes. Car is priced at a very competitive £15,000. It is available for viewing / inspection at my home in Longhope, Gloucestershire. Terry Everall
Nice piece of kit and originally built by Mark Anson. Always handled well and good to see the high spec of the latest mods
mark.anson
Blimey, Ive not seen my old car for ages. Always wondered what became of it. Originally built from a new kit and SVA'd by me back in 2005 and competed in the Speed Series in class F fora season before I went bike engined Pleased its continued to be used for racing and has been upgraded along the way. Looking at the pictures a lot is as I remember it. Good luck with the sale, would be great to see it back in the speed series. Someone is going to get a great car. RichUK
Mark, I remember the year after I bought it seeing you at Autosport helping on the PlaySkool stand, hence why the car shortly afterwards ended up with their belts and roll cage on it! Will be really sad to see it go, we had some tremendous races last year in it, but the longer endurance stuff is very unfriendly to these types of car. With the Boxster we'll be able to do stints of 90-120 mins.
RichUK
Trailer has been removed from the sale. Car has now had all the stickers removed and has has a good clean, it is sat in the garage waiting for potential new owners to come and see it. Terzo204
RichUK - did the ZZR's not go off during a 40 minute race?
RichUK
No, in the dry they are fantastic. We worked out we could put 1.2g through them before they break traction, even at the end of a race. Our race tyres still have life on them, after five x 40 min races plus qualifying last year. Terzo204
Are they medium compound? Would like to get your advice on the CSCC Mag 7's by the way.
RichUK
Yes, medium compound. More than happy to talk Mag 7s. We'll also be at all the CSCC race meetings this year if you want a natter in person.

RichUK
Drop me a line if you want to have a racing chat, always happy to talk through our experiences. Car & trailer was picked up today, off for a career in hillclimbing. I'm looking forward to seeing it at Prescott later in the year.
