Has anyone got any top tips on how to stop the spare lengths of harness shoulder strap flapping around when you are driving?

I used some industrial velcro under the ends and it works great.

How did you fix it?

I tuck them under the shoulder straps.

I have done that, but looking for something more permanent

How did you fix it?

I put both the hook and loop pieces together, cut them about an inch wide of the roll, pulled of the backing tape then just pressed the pieces between the harness and the flappy strap of the harness.

Thanks, just self adhesive then.

Do you ever adjust the straps?

Does the Velcro come apart and stay stuck on OK?

I use velcro but I have sewn mine on.

Yes. Just self adhesive.

I don't adjust my straps as its just the drivers side that has the velcro on.

From memory I have replaced the velcro once I think.

It seems to work fine for me ok.

I only used the velcro as I had a large roll but it seems ok.

Mind you, I am not a fast driver so no idea what it would be like at speed.

I was thinking about trying some of these

I used those, but they are a bit short if you have 3" straps.

I have seen cable ties used in the same way

Either way, you don't actually need to fix the fastener to the straps in any permanent sense. Just roll up the surplus part of the strap, either around the (undone) velcro strap if using those, or push a cable tie through the middle of the roll if using that, and then fasten the velcro or the cable tie (whichever it is) around the outside of the roll.

Never really had a problem with mine but I'd prob just use a length of elastic if I did.

+1 for tucking them into the shoulder straps (there's only about a foot that would flap once I've tightened up).

Another vote for tucking the surplus behind the strap.

You will forget to do whatever you decide and you won't have time to faff about once you're on track and at a speed that starts the flapping. Dead easy and quick to tuck it in and get on with it.
