Russ - The Oil Can Cafe for you

Russ, here is a picture of inside the Oil Can Cafe, HD9 1AF, that we talked about. The cafe is right at the back, shops on the right and memorabilia all over the walls and ceiling. The route in forces you to weave through the display of cars that are changed frequently.

I will ask you before I set a date to make sure you can come and as soon as Trevors car is back from Northampton Motorsport I will take us all there.  Hopefully the Yorkshire Terriers will be able to come too as it is in their territory. Might even get Marcus and Seans cars together with a bit of luck

When are you thinking of going?

We are somewhat in the hands of Troy and Northampton Motorsport, presuming they have finished Trevors car late January we could provisionally say the first weekend in February??

Can you put the word out at your next monthly meet please Robin and I will start a post going early next year?

Thanks, Julie

Any chance of making it March?

Yes, of course we can go in March too. There are no restrictions on the number of visits but you will have to let me know what dates you have available, I have history of picking the wrong dates for you after all  :)

Ha, was just going to say I will take you this weekend if you like....but then I checked the weather forecast....rain all weekend...maybe next weekend though?

Have you got your brake lights sorted?

Sounds serious, is it at the light end or the brake pedal end?

I'm afraid it will be March for me. I'm in Austria the last week of January for 2 weeks. some family time will be needed

The cylinder head may not be back until mid/late Jan..so I will be building the engine during February. Spare gearbox is nearly  in bits now, so that should be ready in the next two weeks (tick)

I'm leaving the old engine in until the new engine and gearbox are ready so that shouldn't stop me joining you

I'm planning on driving it for 500 miles before I go to NMS...  running in a new engine on the rolling road sounds iffy

Don't worry Trevor, I haven't forgot, we will go in March too. Dave Smeg can join us in March as well. We will soon put a hole in that 500 miles too.

Don't forget your ski's in Austria, you lucky so and so

Its a simple fix, i just cant do it, the master cyl is the one bit of my car ive never got on with.

The pedal needs adjusting up a bit as its come slightly loose and is now making contact with the switch. Can i tighten it up? can i b*******y.
