I'm calling on the wisdom of the WSCC for a bit of advice. ???

One of my nieces wants to treat her hubby to one of those tool chest thingy's for Christmas. :xmas:

Now I have no experience of these things, so I'm putting it out to you lot. :d

She has looked at these two online. What do you guys think? have you any experience of either of them, are they worth it.

Paul, links not working but the Halfords professional one and you may get some good deals are OK, check the ones I have when you come over on Saturday. I also have some not so good so you will be able to tell the difference. It's all in the balls that they run on you know, draw runners that is.

I have the black Halfords chest with top box and find it great - comes with tray liners, too.

Normally reduced to £330-£350 for the two, I think.

I have a Machine Mart Premium 7 Drawer Cabinet and 9 Drawere Chest and they're really good. I like Machine Mart gear. Now and again they have 20% off deals.

I have a 7 drawer Halfords unit and it is good. Well built and loads of space for tools etc

Try and find someone local with a Halfords trade card and you can get a really good saving on them I'm sure there are a few on here with them

I have one of the Black Halfords pro ones and it's very good, great runners and the draw handle/latch is good. Decent wheels too. I also bought a really cheap chest & top box from these folk http://www.sgs-engineering.com/ and you can really tell the difference....but it's perfectly OK for me and really good value. If money wasn't such a factor, I'd happily carry on with the Halfords range though.

Try and find someone with a Halfords trade card (I have one but Derby isn't close for you  :( ).

There are usually very good discounts off Halfords branded products Including tools (e.g. 25%-30% off batteries as an example)
