Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
Hello Team As some of you will be aware I have taken on the post of North Yorkshire AO. I have another thread running regarding a Christmas get-together and I have copied this below. If you can make it, I would like this to be an opportunity where you can meet myself and Carol and we can discuss future plans. I would love to know what people within the area love to do and they sort of places that they like to go so that we can build on this together for the future. Myself personally, I would love to see more partners in the cars as over the past year or so whilst I have organised days out, a lot of the drivers have been on their own and I think it is a shame at times. [perhaps this is what the drivers want]. I also like to "do things", so I also would like to encourage drives out where we go to do something fun, Go Ape perhaps, or places like Big-Fun in Hull where we can behave like children. We are also more than happy to head for somewhere, have a cuppa tea and a chat and drive home. the main thing is that we enjoy what we are doing. I am willing to try new things and really would like everyone's help within the area to build this into a great Westfield area. Anyway please have a read below of my thread that I have copied and pasted and it would be brilliant if you can make it. PLEASE NOTE. You do not have to come in your Westfield. Bus, coach, taxi or shankseys pony is all good. On Saturday 5th December I propose that we all try to get together in the afternoon in Scarborough. We get something to eat, then go for a game of bowling followed by a hour or so in the amusements and a trip into Terror Tower and then to round it all off a lemon-top ice cream from Jaconelli's. You do not have to go into Terror Tower if you do not wish too. I propose Wetherspoons to eat as its cheap and cheerful with a good choice and there is a bit of an atmosphere unless someone would like to suggest anywhere else. This is not a day out in the Westfields but we can travel in tintops and park locally and I think it would just be a nice social gathering to get together and just basically have a nice time out. Would anyone care to partake in this Christmas get together. Children are welcome too. http://m.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/food http://www.terrortower.co.uk/ http://www.olympiasc....co.uk/bowling/

I could do with an idea of numbers to book a table. Wives and children all welcome.

Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
Hello. I have today spoken with Wetherspoons regarding reserving a table and they have said there is no need. They were kind enough to say that they will push the tables together to make whatever size table we need. Anyone coming.

Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
To confirm the time and meeting place. We will meet at 12.00noon outside Wetherspoons in Scarborough. There is a side entrance with a flight of steps to the left hand side of the pub as you look at it. That is where we will meet. There is a pay and display carpark opposite the railway station just before Valley Bridge and it is only 100 yards from the pub. Anyone is welcome even if they have an interest in Westfield cars. If anyone gets lost or is late then I can be contacted on the following number. 07715451330
