Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 What an absolute idiot. What sort of cars can do those speeds. I thought they were supposed to be limited....or something like that. He wasn't in one of those Mercedes Sprinter vans was he that pass me all the time. [sorry just looked at it again and it says GTR] Quote
pistonbroke Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 So thats what mobile phones are used for , often wondered why everybody seems to have one Quote
DonPeffers Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I seem to recall either Top Gear or Fifth Gear testing the upper limit a speed camera could detect a speeding motorist and when their TVR went passed at 170mph it was too fast to activate the speed camera. Dare say the police could hear the GTR coming before it was seen. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 IIRC, it's more a case of the detection still happening, but the high speed target isn't in the frame anymore. But that only applies to certain types of camera. Quote
