is there a way to find out your ford radio code? her indoors KA didn't come with any paperwork with the code on and her battery needs changing.

The dealers may be able to find it but will want your inside leg measurement, your mother's mother's Co-op divvy number, and several of your pounds Sterling. Best thing is to get one of the code saving devices that plug into the cigar lighter socket.

I use a 12v 1.2Ah SLA battery and some large croc-clips connected between the + feed in the fuse box and the chassis, same thing really, but you have to be damn careful not to let the + battery terminal touch anything metal when you disconnect it, remember it's still live.

if it is a 3000, 4000 ,4500,5000, 6000, 6006,7000 or 9006 model with number starting with M this site works ( have used it a couple of times ) www.pumapeople.com/decode.php

Small stroke of luck someone had written the code on the top of the radio in marker pen :)

this one was easy.... now finding the broken wire in the roof of the Z that was stopping it going up... that was a challenge, as was finding the cabin filter on the KA :d LOL

I've seen the tell tales of fitment in quite a few (mainly nineties) cars
