yellow perilous
I'm up for this as long as my cracked windscreen comes back from the repairers in time. Half hood now fitted so if it gets a bit damp it will test it out. See you at Lymm at 7.45am (it will still be dark) Mike
jeff the joiner
Hi Mike I think it could be dark going and coming back, hope your not scared of the dark. Jeff
yellow perilous
I'll settle for dark as long as it's not wet!!! The forecast is not good, any thoughts on tin tops or Westies? Cheers Mike
jeff the joiner
For me it's the Westie The route will be through the Peak District towards Chesterfield, so we won't be going down the M6/ A50 Jeff
John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO
Forecast isn't good for Saturday. 7 or 8 hours in a Westie in the cold and the rain and the dark doesn't really appeal. Done that before. Still drying out. The idea of a tin top would be ok, anyone fancy that? Mike, what is the story behind the cracked windscreen? Too many pies? jeff the joiner
With the forecast of heavy rain on Saturday we have decided to cancel the Lancaster Bomber trip tomorrow, but hopefully we will rearrange the trip for another day. yellow perilous
Cracked windscreen was a combination of me being over enthusiastic tightening the straps on the new half hood to get it taught and the screen grub screws being over tightened. An expensive lesson learnt!!! New screen now fitted properly and half hood looks brilliant, just need to see how it performs in the wet. Too many pies could also be a contributory factor, the local builders merchants now have free pie days every Friday and free doughnuts every Monday. OH BOY, bang goes the diet!!!
