Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I have come home from work tonight and Glen has FORBID me to go in the garage. So, I guess the car has some form of decoration on it and he has told me he has got his Santa suit. I will be at work until late tomorrow too, so it will all be a surprise for me on Saturday morning. The weather forecast is proving inconclusive at the moment, not that it will stop you Russ, you maniac . It better be dry or the reindeer gets it. I don't think there is anything inconclusive about the weather forecast, it is going to rain its just when and how much that is variable……I can see lots of blown fuses and soggy santa suits!!!!! Trevor Little (Trevturtle) - Treasurer Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 Are we still meeting at Halfords after you collect Russ..or are we now meeting at Matlock? The forecast is getting better...can I throw away the strait jacket undergarments Quote
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 The forecast is getting better...can I throw away the strait jacket undergarments The weather may be warmer than previous outings but the Met office is forecasting rain, rain, rain for Saturday!!! Sunday is looking much drier, is there any chance of a postponement for 24hrs? What do the collective think? Quote

Thats a shame Russ, obviously too much water in the works, what have we told you about splashing about in the big puddles Quote
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Sunday is great for us. See you at Halfords Sunday 10am. Come on Russ, make it happen. Quote
TAFKARM Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 If someone wants to come over and fix it for me, feel free! I know what the problem is, the pedal has come a bit loose... I really cant do Sunday, sorry - my 2 year old niece is over from Australia and its her birthday party... (thats the real reason i cancelled my other plans ) Quote
bioman Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Hi! Mrs Santa, sorry Mrs Bioman has now expressed a wish to join you all on Sunday (if that's to be the day?). As she doesn't drive the Westie it means I will have to come along. Is that OK? Richard & Liz Quote
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 I'm sure we all would love to see you both….. Quote

Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Excellent news, it will be lovely to see you Richard and Liz , get the snowman suits on! It will be a shame that Russ is going to miss this as it is going to be so much fun, fun, fun. I have been allowed in the garage tonight and Glen has been, shall we say.....busy with the tinsel I have set the route tonight and sorted the lunch stop. We need to set off at 10am from Halfords. Please be aware there are no refreshments there and the toilets are on the back wall of Homebase. I expect to be at the pub for 12.00. There will be the opportunity for petrol in 30 miles from Ashbourne. So it is Sunday 20th December 10am Halfords Ashbourne DE6 1DU Quote
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Just had a thought, as you do, now that we are meeting on a Sunday and not a Saturday, Homebase will not open until 10am. The toilets are in Homebase, so you will have to cross your legs until then. We will therefore set off at 10.05 am. Quote
