What do you do with your trailer over winter?

So back in the Spring i bought a second hand brian james trailer for moving the westy around. A number of years old but always stored indoors so good condition. How do these trailers stand up to being stored outside over winter? I know its mostly galvanised but i dont want to be trying to drag a rusty seized up trailer out of the field come next year. Any thoughts? I thought about covering it over but likely to cause more harm than good??

Handbrake off was all I ever did to mine.

Yes, mine lives outside 365 days of the year. But I never park it up for a prolonged time with the handbrake on. If there is any possibility of it rolling, I just put a brick or wooden chock in front (or behind as required) of a wheel.

Hand brake off job done.

I also protect the electric socket if left outside for a while

Mine has been outside for the last two winters but I bought a Mr Shifta 2 caravan mover off Ebay to manoeuvre it with the car on into my garage. Up till now only the car has been in there because reversing the trailer into the (uphill) garage entrance make the clutch on my car stink to high heaven and I don't want to do that again. Hitherto it's been handbrake off, wheel clamp on, and chocks under each side.
