Steve Watts
Thinking about upgrades and the like, I would appreciate people's opinions and advice. 13" black compomotive wheels with 888's or similar HiSpec Ultralite 4's and mintex 1144 Quick Rack Wide Track Front JK Seats bolted direct Carbon dash new switches Digi dash Maybe cams, ARP bolts Engine map and geo setup somewhere It is a 1998 SEiW, the current wheels are ET15 and looks like detachable rear arches. It already has a BGH E6 box which seems suited to the car and recent AVO alloys shocks. I'm also thinking maybe I should have the body off over the winter and have a proper look at everything underneath?

D7PNY
Some advice from my rebuild over winter to make my car more track orientated... I fitted wide track and had a standard rack but rather than fitting quick rack I fitted the shorter competition steering arms.Had the effect of quickening up the steering but also gives more lock which is great. Only works if you have alloy uprights obviously. Dave

Steve Watts
Thanks for the advice Dave - it does have alloy uprights - I see Westfield have short steering arms on their website

SootySport
Apart from the Digidash, I have fitted all the upgrades you mention, have a C20XE as well. You may find the APR rod bolts have already been fitted, easy to spot when the sump is off, they have ARP markings on each of them. Whilst you have the sump off, fit a genuine GM cork gasket and check for oil leaks around the front crank oil seal, the oil sender oil seal, dipstick tube base, crank position sensor. If you see oil wetness between the bottom of the bellhousing where it meets back of the engine then the sealant around the rear bearing cap needs re sealing as well. I know them all as I've had to cure them all
Pistol Pete
Not really any need to take the body off to access anything, unless you have a strong desire to see what it looks like without it on.
